'Road Safety Week 2025' - Assembly at New Mills Secondary School - Monday 17th November

Glossop SNT - School Engagement/ Road Safety Week 

PCSO Buller from Glossop Youth Engagement Team had been invited to complete a full school assembly this morning. Monday 17th November -  via teams on ‘Road Safety’ at New Mills Secondary School, Church Lane , New Mills   

Road Safety Week 2025 is scheduled to run from November 16th until 22nd November and is themed "Safe Vehicles Save Lives". The annual campaign, organized by the road safety charity Brake, aims to raise awareness about road safety and reduce accidents. It encourages communities and organizations to participate in initiatives to highlight how safe vehicles contribute to road safety.  

We discussed:

▪️ What makes a good pedestrian

▪️Cycling - Using Helmets/Lights 

▪️Be seen - Be safe

▪️Using Public Transport respectfully

▪️The Fatal Four

▪️ Stop-Look-Listen

We'd like to say thank you to the headteachers and staff at New Mills school for allowing this engagement to take place there today.
